This site is dedicated to all who, like
Socrates, feel that the unexamined life is not worth living, or who believe,
as Aristotle did, that man is a political animal. But perhaps most of all,
it is dedicated to those who, like George W. Bush, are convinced that literacy
should be our fundamental goal.
On this website you will find columns
that I have written for The Virginia Gazette in Williamsburg, Virginia, as
well as other essays, both published and unpublished, which deal with political,
social and literary issues. In the Guest Authors section you will find the
columns of others who deal with social and political issues, both national
and local.
Finally, feedback, both relative to my
columns and this site, is important to me. So please feel free to write away.
